Can participants change courses?
No. Unfortunately, switching courses is not an option. Applicants are only reviewed for the courses and sessions listed on their original application. Due to the large number of applications we receive, we are not able to add additional course or session preferences to an application after it is submitted. Applicants are reviewed on a course by course basis. Therefore, qualifying for one course does not mean an applicant will be selected for a different course so we are not able to offer course changes.

Applicants should apply only for courses they are interested in attending. The number of courses listed on an application has no bearing on admission.

What is the attendance policy?
Participants must be fully involved in the program and should be present for all program activities. Participants are required to arrive on designated arrival dates and remain until the end of the program. All activities, including recreational and social programming, are designed to provide participants with a well-rounded experience both inside and outside of the classroom. Participants should only miss scheduled activities for health reasons, religious observances, or family emergencies.

When will participants receive a course syllabus?
Since our courses are not for credit or grades, curriculum may vary year after year, and therefore standard syllabi are not available. Participants are not required to do any reading or fulfill course assignments prior to the start of the program. Participants will receive a syllabus or course overview from their instructor when the course begins. This flexibility allows our program instructors to create the most dynamic and up-to-date lesson plan.
